Title: Secure Communication and Network Optimization for Low-altitude Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles
Abstract: Low-altitude Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle (UAV) communications face intertwined challenges: malicious jamming, multi-user interference, multi-eavesdropper secrecy threats, and covert communication risks. Against this background, we present a unified secure communication and network optimization framework leveraging hybrid Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS), Simultaneously Transmitting And Reflecting RISs (STAR-RISs), and UAV relays. This work mainly resolves the practical dilemmas of severe signal interference, vulnerable physical-layer security, unstable transmission quality and unguaranteed communication concealment in low-altitude UAV scenarios. By jointly optimizing UAV trajectories, RIS and STAR-RIS beamforming configuration, unit element resource allocation, and user scheduling, our framework effectively improves system transmission capacity and physical-layer secrecy level, reduces overall network energy consumption, and realizes reliable covert communication defense against mobile eavesdroppers with considering imperfect channel state information. Theoretical analysis and simulations validate that the proposed framework outperforms existing schemes in transmission efficiency, secrecy performance, and covertness for low-altitude UAV networks.
