内容提要:

Recent advances in pinching-antenna (PA) systems have introduced a new paradigm for reconfigurable wireless communications, where electromagnetic signals propagate through a dielectric waveguide and radiate at selected “pinch” points, enabling flexible antenna placement and improved line-of-sight connectivity. In this talk, we present recent research developments on PA-enabled networks, focusing on resource allocation, signal processing, and system optimization. First, we discuss uplink PA systems and optimization frameworks that jointly determine antenna positioning and resource allocation to maximize the minimum user data rate, highlighting their potential for fair and efficient multi-user communications . Next, we examine practical transmission schemes for PA systems, including OFDMA-based designs that address frequency-selective channels and inter-symbol interference arising from spatially distributed antennas . We also discuss low-complexity algorithms for antenna activation, such as Viterbi-based state selection methods that achieve near-optimal performance with significantly reduced computational complexity . Finally, the talk will outline emerging multiple-access frameworks, including rate-splitting multiple access for uplink PA networks, demonstrating their ability to improve reliability and spectral efficiency in next-generation wireless systems.
